Focus was engaged to undertake a full fire service upgrade to the three St Martins towers to provide a compliant fire detection and wet fire protection system throughout.

The scope of works included:

• construction of a new combined fire pump and tank system within the basement of Building 40 (using a previous bank vault for the tanks)
• installation of complete wet fire and detection systems throughout the buildings
• ceiling modification and reinstatement works to enable access for the installation
• construction of a new booster pump set arrangement

The challenges included working through the night within operating office tenancies, and restoring a clean and operational workspace before the start of business each day.
