A 4 storey complex comprising 19 modern, high quality apartments on the upper floors with commercial tenancies at street level in the heart of Fremantle's West End.

Focus Building Company worked closely with Yolk Property Group and Harris Architects to review all aspects of the design and building process to ensure this unique development would adhere to the strict requirements of the City of Fremantle Heritage Guidelines. The project also required careful development of the construction methodology to manage the site constraints of building to boundary on all four sides. An in-situ concrete frame and bubbledeck flooring system were adopted to speed up construction times. An AFS walling system was used for the load-bearing walls on the internal boundaries and lightweight stud framed walls for all internal walls. A lightweight steel frame and brick veneer solution was devised by Focus to enable the face brickwork façade required by the Heritage Guidelines to be constructed after completion of the structural frame, thereby taking the brickwork off the critical path of the programme and allowing an emphasis on quality rather than speed for the face brickwork facade.
