Overview

Focus Building Company is immensely proud of this project, which honours the legacy of the original structures while upgrading the facilities to better serve staff and students.

Focus was engaged on an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) basis which led to a Lump Sum Design and Construct contract. Extensive re-design and Value Engineering was conducted during the ECI phase in order to achieve Hale School's budget.

The Hale School Memorial Hall and Cygnet Theatre project posed unique challenges, including the integration of new facilities and the upgrading of essential services within an active school campus.

The ambitious undertaking involved the demolition of the Stow Theatre which was replaced by the multi purpose Cygnet Theatre. This houses a media studies hub, new homerooms and classrooms and a broadcast quality recording studio with an edit suite for the ATAR subject of Media Studies. The precinct is further enhanced by a courtyard with an outdoor stage. This beautiful addition enriches the school's facilities and creates a versatile space for performances and gatherings.

"The Hale Memorial Hall precinct looks beautiful, and we thank Focus and their team for delivering an amazing project."
