Shaun Hughes joined Focus Building Company in January 2014 and is now a Director of the company, reflecting the business’s focus on developing outstanding young talent into leadership roles. Before joining Focus, Shaun worked with Kevin and Adrian at Perth Building Company as a Site Manager across a wide variety of construction projects.

Shaun is a highly motivated and focused Construction Manager with over 16 years’ experience in the construction industry. He combines strong organisational and managerial ability with a practical, proactive approach to all construction matters, and is known for his high attention to detail, clear communication and collaborative style of delivery.

A personable and solutions-driven leader, Shaun has a strong ability to understand complex technical details and translate them into clear guidance for the team on site. His excellent relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, along with his detailed knowledge of the subcontractor market, have been integral to his success in managing programme, quality and project outcomes.

Shaun’s hands-on approach, strong stakeholder relationships and technical expertise ensure he is well placed to lead projects confidently through to successful completion, with a consistent focus on safety, quality and defect-free handover.
