Owen joined Focus Building Company in January 2023 and has become a key member of the pre-construction team. With a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Structural Engineering from The University of Western Australia and registration as a builder, he combines technical understanding with strong commercial insight to support projects from early concept through to tender and contract handover.

Throughout his career, Owen has worked across a wide range of projects with Tier 2 and Tier 3 contractors, giving him broad exposure to the demands of complex commercial construction. At Focus, he leads the estimating function and plays an important role in developing accurate, well-considered project pricing, coordinating tender submissions and ensuring internal processes are followed with consistency and discipline.

Owen is also deeply involved in design management, where he works closely with the project team to test design options, assess risk and opportunity, and identify cost-effective alternatives that remain true to the project brief. His approach is thoughtful and collaborative, with a strong focus on maintaining design integrity while improving project outcomes through practical, informed decision-making.

With strong capability in Cost X, Estimate One and Microsoft Office, Owen brings analytical precision and strong information management to every stage of the pre-contract process. His professionalism, financial acumen and commitment to a detailed tender handover provide valuable continuity between pre-construction and delivery, making him a trusted and highly valued member of the Focus team.
